Josie and the New Movies

There are a lot of movies that all you people should watch this year.  I haven't seen them yet, but I'm going to once they come out!

The first one is The Hunger Games.  Of course, almost EVERYBODY is going to see that.  I just can't believe they got a woman who just turned 21 to play 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen.  I'm afraid to find out how old Peeta Mellark's actor is....

If you guys don't know what The Hunger Games are about, or you think it's a "macho man book," let me clear things up.  It focuses around a sixteen-year-old girl, Katniss Everdeen.  They live in what used to be North America.  I'm not sure if it's all North America or just the United States.  Anyway, there was this big war about 80 years ago, and the US was destroyed and Panem was created.  Instead of states, they made 13 districts.  When the districts rebelled against Panem, they were beaten down.  District 13 was destroyed, and all the others were forced to have the Annual Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games are where each child in between the ages of 12 and 18 must put their name in a raffle, then a person from the capitol comes and picks one boy and one girl, and they are to fight to the death in an outdoor arena, where they are broadcasted live all the time on all the televisions, not to mention kill all the other districts' duo.  The twelve year olds only have to put in one, while the thirteens have to put in two, fourteens put in 3, and so on.  But if you want a years worth of grain and oil for your family, you multiply how many "rations" you want (one for each family member at the most) times the number of

I would explain it, but being me, I can't.

Another movie I want to see is Titanic in 3D!  I love Titanic, but I'm not allowed to see any of the nudity.  Mom doesn't want me to get... *shudder* images.  However, Kasiah is allowed to see it.  But she's kind of older than me, and a little more mature.  But honestly, I don't even want Kate Winslet's boobs engraved in my mind.  But that got me to thinking that some people are just going to come to see Kate Winslet's boobs in 3D...  *Shudder* Talk about images.

Kasiah and I promised eachother we would go with one another to see it.

Movie #3 is Star Wars I in 3D.  I figure, if I'm ever going to watch it, why not start with the first one and work my way up?  Besides, I want to see Natalie Portman.

There are lots of movies being remade in 3D: Finding Nemo, Beauty and the Beast, Star Wars I, Titanic, etc.  A little too much, don't you think?

Movie #4 is Breaking Dawn Part 2.  I don't necessarily prefer Kristen Stewart's acting, I mean, she always acted bored or something.  She did good when she was being attacked and stuff, but, hey!  I could have played her!  I mean, my hair's dark and I'm pale (and I live in Texas) and I can act at least 10 times better than her!  I think that's what brought Robert Pattinson down.  Either that or the director.  Although, I don't think I could deal with all that kissiong....

I don't know why, but I just played and sang Colors of the Wind.  Now my left hand's hurting because of having to play an 8ve in every chord.

Josie and the Stolen Tickets

Does anyone remember how I needed to sell tickets for Collide?  You do the math.

Someone stole 11 tickets!  They're each worth $10 bucks!  I have to admit, it is my fault since I left them under my desk in math, but I found the envelope under my desk today and the tickets were gone!  $110 that could have gone to my mission trip fund!  I have to find them!

Josie is Kerfuzzled

You would not believe my hair today!  I took a shower last night and forgot to brush it out.  So, during school, when it was dry, it looked soft and fluffy, but on the inside it was gnarly and mangled. When I tried to get the tangles out with my fingers, it ruined the look.  Not to mention my bangs wouldn't lay down.  They almost showed The Spot.  So, I brought a hat to school with me to get the bangs to lay down.  ARGH!

Josie and the Locks that Won't Open

People can be so mean sometimes.  I have to admit, this was partially my fault, but still.

In band, I was getting my French Horn from the band lockers after school to take home, and I usually leave the lock unlocked so that it's easier to get out, and then I lock it while school's out.

Apparently someone had switched my lock with someone else, and then relocked it.  Nothing was taken, but why would someone do it?  It's just so rude!  Like I said, it was partially my fault, but I can't help it if I have an impatient grandmother?

I have the CD for Collide.  As far as I'm aware the tracks are:
  1. Love Story by Taylor Swift
  2. The Boys' Flashlight Song (don't know what it's called)
  3. Use Somebody by Kings of Leon (a skit)
  4. Everything by Lighthouse (my skit)
  5. Baby by Eleventh Hour
  6. Baby (the a'capella version) on piano
  7. An instrumental for something, but I don't know what it is.  I recognize it, but since it doesn't have someone singing with it, I don't know.
  8. For some reason, the exact same as #7
  9. I Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher
  10. The instrumental to I Got You Babe

Josie and the GOOD Reason

I am so happy now.  I now realize that God did not want me in region choir because I had more important things to do.  I have four big parts in our church youth choir concert.  It's not youth choir, it's Collide.  That's the official term.  We're colliding with the rest of the world and one of them has to be taken over.  We're most likely going to change the world, not the other way around.  Anyway, my parts are:

  1. Playing a drunkie in a skit.  But I already said that.  If you want to see it, search up "Everything Skit" on YouTube.
  2. Dancing a kind of medival dance with Sarah in the "Girls' Only" song, Love Story by Taylor Swift
  3. Singing "I Got You Babe" with Heath which is gonna be kinda awkward considering that I think of him as kind of sort of a dude who's a friend, but we're not like really close.  It's making me feel so awkward that I just said "kinda sorta" and "like" in the wrong places.  Eeekers.
  4. A huge solo in the a'capella version of Baby by Justin Bieber.  Then again, I already said that, too.
I feel so special!  And with region, you can't spread the Word of God there, can you?  I mean, usually you sing Latin songs that have "Gloria in excelsis Deo" or you sing a song about jumping on the train to heaven, but no one ever means it.  They just choose it to make the Christians happy.  Hardly anyone in the choirs mean it.

Here, it means something.

I'm serious.

We're gonna make a major impression on people.

Josie and the Mall

Aunt Leah is taking Logan out to eat on Friday instead.  We can't afford it, and Mom doesn't get paid before then, so since we're not having a party, I CAN GO TO THE MALL!   EEEEEEEEE!!!

Josie and the Year of the Dragon

Apparently Cheyenne's right.  It's not my year.

Cheyenne's belief is in the Chinese horoscope.  I was born in the Year of the Tiger apparently, and ever since Chinese New Year (it is now the year of a dragon), I've had not-so-good and bad things happen to me.

I didn't get into All-Region Choir.

Last year I got into the Honor Choir.  5th chair.  As a 7th grader.

I didn't even get into the concert choir.

On top of that, I can't go to the mall with Kasiah today because my cousin, Logan, is having his 15th birthday party today at Grandma's and youth choir is at 3 PM instead of 5.  And the mall closes early on Sunday's.

Not my year.

Josie Gets Bangs

Does anyone remember me talking about my bald spot?  Well, my mom got me bangs to cover it.  I don't mean like Justin Bieber bangs, I mean like Mermaid Abbey bangs.  Well, here's a picture.

Yeah.  My hair looks like that in a darker shade.  The bangs are surprisingly kinda a pain.  They hover right over my eyes, nudging the edge of my eyelid.  And, since I have a bald spot, the bangs are uneven.  I mean, it's cute, but I don't see it on me.  At least it covers the Spot.

Josie Sucked

I did!

Everything went smoothly until the audition.  First, I sang A New Day and used up most of my energy on that.  I did use good enunciation and consonants, but on Lullaby Moon, the song I worked SO hard to get the phrasing right, I ran out of breath!  And for the sightreading?  It was easy.  But I definitely got disqualified for singing when I was supposed to practice.  I think if I sang, I was disqualified!  I sang!  I'm not gonna make it.

Josie and the Platinum Minds

Okay, so Kasiah, one of my BFFs, wanted to create a rock band.  You know, one for Battle of the Bands or something, but not so emo and wierd.  But, since I play the piano really good, I said I'd be keyboards and vocals.  But, she's gonna be the vocals.  I hate to say it, but she's not the best.  I don't want to brag, but I was the 5th chair soprano, AND the whole English class wanted an encore when I sang.  We have it together, so she sang and played her clarinet at first, but you couldn't really hear her.  So, I'm going to coach her.

I'm going to open a blog about it, so look for it on my account.

Josie and Her Senior Trip

Yes, that's right!  I hope!  My mom knows someone in New Zealand, and we've always wanted to go, and my mom said that if she's still friends with him when I graduate, she'll take me as a graduation present!  YAY!  So excited!  Stay friends with him!  PLEASE!

What sights are there in New Zealand?  I know they have nice beaches, but what, really?  I could visit Wellington, since he lives in Wellington.  Once, he actually ran for mayor!  I think I'm gonna like it here!

You know what?  To separate my four main topics: Writing, Travel, Surviving, and Strange Experiences, I'm just gonna create a blog for all of them.
